Sustainable Agriculture Colloquium: FARRMS and Growing Together

The Sustainable Agriculture Graduate Program invites you to join us on Wednesday, November 14 for the Iowa State Sustainable Agriculture Colloquium. Mindy Grant de Herrera will give a formal presentation titled “FAARMS and Growing Together: A collaboration for local food justice” beginning at 3:10PM in 0013 Curtiss Hall.  Mindy Grant de Herrera is the Director of Education Programs for Foundation for Agricultural and Rural Resource Management and Sustainability (FARRMS), located in the heart of rural North Dakota. She will focus on a unique project in Fargo, ND. Growing Together is a community garden outreach for New Americans which has grown to include over 150 families at 6 locations producing over 45,000 lbs. or fresh produce each year.
