GRS Global Impact Award and Workshop at State Science Fair
April 15
On March 27, GRS awarded a Global Impact Award to 5 students at the State Science Fair, recognizing outstanding science fair projects that demonstrated global impact.
Also during Science Fair, GRS hosted the science fair participants to learn about global food insecurity due to post-harvest losses and food loss in the global food supply. Students simulated grain loss due to lack of storage facilities in many parts of the world and generated ideas on solutions involving engineering, food science, entomology and agronomy to address the issue.
