Katelyn Fritz Awarded David Lambert ‘Hunger Fighter’ Memorial Scholarship

Katelyn Fritz, a Global Resource Systems and Agronomy student, was awarded the David Lambert ‘Hunger Fighter’ Memorial Scholarship at a luncheon during the World Food Prize 2016 Borlaug Dialogue in Des Moines, IA last week. Katelyn is one of two students to receive this scholarship that honors the work of Iowa State University’s Seed Science Center Distinguished Fellow, David Lambert.

Katelyn previously served as an Iowa Youth Delegate to the World Food Prize’s Global Youth Institute and went on to serve as a Borlaug-Ruan International Intern at the International Rice Research Institute in the Philippines. She has since been engaged in a variety of courses and activities through GRS and the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
