Leafstedt named CALS Student Marshal, Headed to Cambridge

Catherine Leafstedt, graduating senior in Global Resource Systems and Agronomy, has been named the Spring 2018 College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS) Student Marshal. This honor recognizes high academic achievement and Leafstedt will lead all CALS graduates in the May 2018 Commencement ceremony.

Leafstedt is passionate about alleviating food insecurity and has completed internships in the U.S. and around the world. She recently completed an internship with the Iowa State University Uganda Program and is working on a senior capstone team as a consultant for the program. Upon graduation, Leafstedt will pursue a Master’s degree in Development Studies at The University of Cambridge.
