Global Engagement
Helen Jensen collaborates with colleagues in Germany and Denmark, researching the economics of food choice and health. Other international research and exchanges have been with colleagues in China, the Ghana, South Africa, Indonesia, Ukraine and Haiti. The collaborations usually address economic aspects of the food sector, food markets, health and nutrition. Recently, Dr. Jensen completed serving on WHO’s Foodborne Diseases Burden Epidemiology Reference Group (FERG), with efforts focusing on country level food safety estimates and policy implementation.
