Four Students Participate in Spring 2025 GLOBE/NREM Service-Learning Travel Course

This spring break (March 12 – 25, 2025), four Iowa State students traveled to Uganda as part of the GLOBE/NREM Service-Learning travel course with Dr. Dorothy Masinde. During their trip, the students engaged with community programs through the Center for Sustainable Rural Livelihood’s Iowa State University – Uganda program, assisting in repairing a tree nursery, serving school meals, and planting fruit trees at Nakanyonyi primary school. The students also volunteered during Child Clinic Day at Nabirumba Nutrition Education Center.
