Cargill Investment in Global Resource Systems, Gift Announced

The Global Resource Systems major has benefitted from engagement with Cargill, Inc. since 2015. On October 2nd, 2017, an event was held at Scheman Auditorium to celebrate the Cargill announcement of a $600,000 gift to the GRS Program. A poster session was held prior to the dinner and gift announcement that featured nearly 30 GRS students who completed international internships  in Summer 2017 and students who participated in the Cargill-GRS China Study Abroad course in China

Cargill is a multinational agricultural company that seeks to nourish the world in a sustainable way. Students in GRS are very interested in studying world challenges, especially hunger and sustainability, and this gift and partnership with Cargill helps to support students in their coursework, international experiences, and professional development.

Cargill has contributed more than $1 million dollars to support the GRS program, to date.
