Globe students participate in Borlaug Poster Session

Globe students participated in the annual Borlaug Poster Session on Monday, October 12 at the Memorial Union.  The poster session, followed by the Norman Borlaug Lecture, once again signaled the beginning of a week of meetings and festivities surrounding the Borlaug Dialogue in Des Moines.  Sir Fazle Hasan Abed, the 2015 World Food Prize Laureate and founder and chairperson of BRAC, the world’s largest anti-poverty organization, presented the Norman Borlaug Lecture.

Globies participating in this year’s poster session at the undergraduate level include:

Other students from the 2015 Globe 494A, International Service Learning course who presented posters at the undergraduate level include:

Melissa Larson won second place and Anna Fisher won third place in the undergraduate level.

Additionally, graduate student Sharon Tusiime presented a poster in the graduate level of the poster session and won second prize.
