GRS students meet with Uganda program partner

October 10

On Wednesday, October 9th, 2019 GRS students who participated in the 2019 Creating a School Garden: Service Learning in Uganda met with Tom Miller.  Tom and Terri Miller have been involved with the Iowa State University-Uganda Program since 2016.  At the dinner, students shared their experiences from this past summer.

The service learning program allows ISU students to work in Uganda developing school gardens for elementary schools in the Kamuli District.  Students interested in participating in the 2020 summer program should apply through ISUAbroad (isuabroad.iastate.edu) or find more information on the CALS Study Abroad Program website (agstudyabroad.iastate.edu).
