Kerri researched grass-based dairy cattle systems and herd genetics of Holstein x Friesian dairy cows in Ireland. She worked with a research team to study how the interaction of cattle genetics and production systems impact feed efficiency and milk quality.

Kerri had the opportunity to work with interns from Ireland, France, and Brazil while in Ireland. The interns brought fun to feed-efficiency sample collection by challenging each other to races while sampling. Kerri’s team lost the race and had to do the “Macarena” in the middle of the pasture!
