Global Engagement
Dr. Masinde, Lecturer in Global Resource Systems, also serves as the Associate Director for Nutrition Education Programs in the Center for Sustainable Rural Livelihoods (CSRL), College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Iowa State University, Ames, Iowa. She provides leadership to the Nutrition Education Centers that address hunger and malnutrition issues among children, aged less than five years of age, and women of reproductive age in the Kamuli District of Uganda. She serves as Global Resource System’s Internship coordinator for Africa and as a co-leader of Global Resource System’s Service Learning program to Uganda. Dr. Masinde is also an advisor for Self Help International, based in Waverly Iowa, and its board of directors (Ghana committee).
