Global Engagement
Dr. Brumm is one of the faculty leaders of the Uganda Service Learning program. He is Associate Director of the Center for Sustainable Rural Livelihoods, helping to implement ISU’s Uganda programs in food security, health and sanitation, and livestock. Dr. Brumm researches and implements strategies to reduce the drudgery of post-harvest operations and to reduce post-harvest losses in developing countries, especially for grains and seeds. He has conducted various post-harvest projects in the Kamuli region of Uganda with primary schools and women shareholder farmers.
